About Us
Isabella State School is located on Walker Road in Edmonton, just south of Cairns. The school opened on 29 January 2007 and has continued to grow. We now have approximately 500 eager learners from Prep to Year 6.
We provide supports which cater for the individual needs of all students. Our purpose is to provide opportunities for all students to achieve their potential. Our vision is the provision of quality educational services in a safe, supportive and inclusive environment.

About The Role
Responsibilities include, but not limited to;
- Lead curriculum innovation and direction by developing and championing a shared, future-focused educational vision that delivers high-quality learning outcomes for all students.
- Champion equity and excellence through embedding socially just practices and maintaining high expectations for student achievement and staff performance.
- Promote continuous improvement by engaging in lifelong learning and ongoing professional development to strengthen teaching and leadership practice.
- Build collaborative partnerships with students, parents, government agencies, and community groups to enrich curriculum delivery and student outcomes.
- Ensure strategic and compliant management by understanding relevant legislation and policies and effectively managing human, financial, facility, and curriculum resources to achieve program goals.
