The Southport School’s Preparatory School provides an outstanding education for boys. We are now seeking a dedicated and highly skilled primary school educator to join our team full-time teaching Year 1, covering a parental leave contract commencing 27 May 2026 through until the end of the year.
We are looking for a passionate and experienced candidate, with a willingness to go above and beyond; a primary school educator who fully understands the benefits of building positive relationships with their students, and who enjoys engaging with them across the breadth of the school’s comprehensive academic, pastoral and co-curricular program. The successful candidate will have an outstanding knowledge of relevant curriculum and teaching pedagogy and be excited by the opportunity to be part of a professional learning community. An understanding and appreciation of the learning styles of boys would be considered an advantage as a member of the TSS team.
As a member of the TSS team, you will be willing to support the Code of Conduct and stated values and Anglican Ethos of the School and must hold current Queensland Teacher Registration.
