Executive Assistant - Head of Wealth Management (Global IB)
(The firm provides investment advice, stockbroking services, portfolio management and wealth planning services to retail, high net worth, and intermediary clients - billions under management)
An exceptionally rare opportunity to be mentored by a true titan of Australian Wealth Management. Pathway to internal leadership roles / strategy / Investor relations / Corporate Access etc
I am not looking for a 'traditional' EA. The business is forward thinking, progressive, and dynamic - arguably Australia's most successful Global IB franchise
I am looking for someone equally as dynamic. The successful candidate will very likely be sitting in a Wealth role without an EA title , I am very open to Dealers/Desk Assistants (note - this is not a pathway to managing a book but rather internal strategy / leadership). Industry experience is important but not essential - Stockbroking/Wealth/Portfolio Management (very open to broader Financial Services IB's, Funds, Domestic Banks) background. 3-7 years experience as a guide. The successful candidate may well come from Finance, Compliance, Client Services, Operations etc
This role has huge growth potential, and will organically expand with the candidates ability and interests. The idea is to work in this role for circa 2 years with a pathway to pursue internal opportunities within the rapidly expanding global wealth business (up 35% from last year)
Key Responsibilities:
• Extensive diary and inbox management, travel arrangements – both domestic and international, drafting and reviewing documents/emails, general administration
• Handling corporate issues for HNW clients and for staff personal accounts
• Liaising with very senior internal and external stakeholders
• Onboarding new advisers from point of contract through to onboarding clients – checking advisers are on the FAR/FASEA qualified
• HNW Client account: Queries and requests, share execution and settlement.
• Corporate transactions
• International trading administration and execution
• Ad hoc Projects and Event Management / internal strategy
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience
- Professional qualifications will be looked upon favourably
- Ability to pick up new skills and most importantly someone who is a self starter
- 3-7 years experience working within Wealth Management/ Portfolio Management, or Broader Financial Services - essential
- Highly proficient in Microsoft Office suite
- Experience in managing multiple priorities, administrative coordination, and logistics
- Well-organized, detail-oriented, ability to multi-task with great follow-up skills
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
