This Head of Department - Student Services position will have a focus in 2026 on Year 7 and involves working closely with students, parents, and teachers to support students into and through their first year of secondary schooling.

About The Role
As the Head of Department - Student Services, you will have the following accountabilities:
- Lead initiatives that enhance the Engagement, Belonging, Wellbeing and Behaviour Support of every student in your year level.
- Work with the Student Support Services Team to provide support and intervention with students who are experiencing significant barriers in accessing their learning through academic, behaviour and/or social emotional engagement concerns.
- Implement year level events in partnership with the Shadow Heads of Year for whole cohort activities to develop a sense of year level identity and belonging (e.g. Year level assemblies, meaning projects and celebrations).
- Promote positive education (PERMAH) to embed practices that support every student to flourish in their education at Kenmore SHS.
- Liaise with parents, teachers, and support staff of students in your year level to provide support and guidance for students when needed.
- Uphold the school values and expectations through your strong leadership skills.
