We are seeking an exceptional Leader of Learning Diversity to provide strategic leadership across inclusive education, intervention, extension and evidence-informed practice.

Working within the Simonds Learning Model, the successful applicant will champion practices that enable students to become increasingly independent, self-regulated learners.
About the Role
The Leader of Learning Diversity will lead and strengthen the College's commitment to:
* Inclusive, high challenge and high support learning environments.
* Data informed practice and evidence-based decision making.
* Intervention and enrichment within a Multi-Tiered System of Supports (MTSS).
* Student growth and the acceleration of learning.
* Stretch and challenge opportunities for gifted and high-potential learners.
* Learner agency through the intentional fading of scaffolds and supports.
* Building teacher capability in adaptive and responsive teaching.
* Strategic and compliant Learning Diversity practices.
Key Responsibilities
Lead Inclusive Practice
* Foster a culture where every learner is known, supported and challenged.
* Advocate for students and work collaboratively with families, staff and external agencies to maximise outcomes.
* Promote learner independence and self-regulation through purposeful and responsive support.
Drive Data-Informed Improvement
* Analyse and triangulate multiple sources of evidence to identify needs, monitor progress and evaluate impact.
* Use data to inform intervention, extension and strategic planning.
* Maintain a relentless focus on student growth and closing attainment gaps.
Lead Intervention and Extension
* Coordinate and evaluate targeted interventions aligned to a Multi-Tiered System of Supports (MTSS).
* Ensure students requiring additional support receive timely and effective adjustments.
* Provide stretch and challenge opportunities for gifted and high-potential learners, recognising that excellence requires intentional cultivation.
Build Teacher Capability
* Support teachers to implement adaptive teaching practices aligned to the Simonds Learning Model.
* Coach staff in providing reasonable adjustments while maintaining high expectations.
* Promote the gradual release of responsibility, ensuring scaffolds are intentionally faded to develop independent learners.
Lead Learning Diversity Operations
* Coordinate Student Support Groups (SSGs), Individual Learning Plans and learning adjustments.
* Maintain strong working knowledge of NCCD requirements and associated compliance processes.
* Liaise with external agencies and specialists to support students and families.
* Lead and strategically deploy a team of Learning Support Officers to maximise impact and promote student independence.

You are an educator and leader who:
* Has a passion for advocacy and a commitment to ensuring every student experiences growth.
* Believes that all learners can succeed when provided with the right support and challenge.
* Understands the importance of data informed practice and evidence-based intervention.
* Has experience coordinating Student Support Groups and working collaboratively with families and external professionals.
* Possesses sound knowledge of NCCD processes and reasonable adjustments.
* Is committed to building teacher capability and collective efficacy.
* Understands that effective support should build independence rather than dependency.
* Brings excellent leadership, communication and organisational skills.
