Job Description
About the role
The Student Services Officer plays a key role in providing warm, responsive and student-centred support throughout the school day. This front-line position assists students, families, staff and visitors while helping ensure the smooth operation of Student Services.
This is a
permanent, 5 days per week, term-time only position, commencing
13 July 2026.
Key Responsibilities Include
- Providing respectful, pastoral care and practical support to students
- Responding to student, parent, caregiver, staff and visitor enquiries
- Supporting attendance processes, including late arrivals, early departures and unexplained absences
- Providing basic first aid and health support in line with training and College procedures
- Maintaining accurate records, class lists, rosters, timetables and student-related information
- Supporting communication between students, families, pastoral care teams and school leaders
- Assisting with administration, stationery procurement, lost property and Student Services operations
- Maintaining confidentiality and professionalism in a busy school environment
About You
The successful applicant will be calm, organised, accurate and service-minded, with strong communication skills and a genuine heart for supporting young people.
You Will Have
- Demonstrated experience in a busy administration, customer service or student support role
- Strong organisation, time management and attention to detail
- The ability to manage competing priorities in a fast-paced environment
- Confidence using Microsoft Office and a willingness to learn College systems
- A professional, caring and confidential approach
- A commitment to supporting the Christian ethos, values and mission of Emmanuel College
Essential Requirements
- Current Working with Children Check / Blue Card
- Current First Aid and CPR certification
- Administration experience, preferably in a school setting
A Certificate IV in Administration or similar qualification is preferred but not essential.
