Position Details
Clontarf Aboriginal College is a co-educational Catholic CARE (Curriculum and Re-engagement in Education) secondary boarding school for First Nations students in Years 7–12, located in Waterford, WA; in the tradition of Blessed Edmund Rice, it is a place of learning and understanding that respects and celebrates Aboriginal culture and spirituality, with an on-site boarding house providing a unique setting for students to develop lifelong skills while accessing a quality education, as the College remains committed to nurturing and empowering young people to contribute positively to their communities.

- Have the ability to build strong relationships with staff and students, and develop strong partnerships with parents and care givers to provide leadership that motivates and inspires.
- Stewardship (Accountability)
- Have the ability to recruit, lead, develop, inspire and professionally develop the capacity of teachers to deliver improvement in student learning.
They Will Specifically Demonstrate
- A high degree of competency in using REACH and SEQTA Database systems; and supporting ICT with staff and students.
- A comprehensive knowledge of current curriculum, educational theories including pastoral practices in the CARE context.
- A proven ability to lead staff/coach/mentor in professional learning across the curriculum, particularly in line with instructional leadership practices and pastoral care.
- A proven ability to coordinate the pastoral care of students particularly those that may be at ris and having learning difficulties.
- Highly developed organisational and interpersonal skills.
- An admirable record of developing positive relationships with students, staff, parents and the community.
- A willingness to work collaboratively as part of a flexible team, using both innovation and initiative.
Qualifications Required
- A minimum of 7 years teaching experience.
- Appropriate Accreditation to Lead.
- Active membership in the Catholic Church.
- Working with Children Card.
