Westminster School Council warmly invites applications from exceptional educational leaders for the position of Principal.
The Opportunity
Westminster School Council warmly invites applications from exceptional educational leaders for the position of Principal.
This is an opportunity to lead far more than a school. It is an opportunity to become part of a vibrant and deeply connected community united by a shared belief that education has the power to shape lives, strengthen communities and prepare young people not simply for their next destination, but for the lives they will lead.
For more than 60 years, Westminster has built a culture where every child is known, challenged and inspired to become the very best version of themselves. Relationships matter here. Belonging is deeply felt. Academic excellence sits alongside character, courage, kindness and service, creating an environment where students flourish as learners and as people.
As Principal, you will work in partnership with an engaged School Council, dedicated staff, supportive families and a proud Old Scholar community to build on these strong foundations while leading Westminster into its next chapter.
Why Westminster?
Westminster is a School with confidence in who we are and optimism for what lies ahead.
Situated on a beautiful 23-hectare campus in Adelaide's south, Westminster offers an exceptional breadth of opportunity while maintaining a genuine sense of community.
At the heart of the School is its distinctive philosophy of Adventurous Education. More than an outdoor education program, it is an approach that encourages young people to explore, question, create, take measured risks and discover strengths they never knew they possessed. It shapes learning, relationships and experiences across every stage of a Westminster education.
Guided by the values of being Brave, Humble, Kind, Authentic, Resilient and Curious, Westminster combines outstanding teaching and learning with exceptional wellbeing, rich co-curricular opportunities and a thriving boarding community where students are known, supported and encouraged to achieve more than they thought possible.
With strong enrolment demand, outstanding facilities, an ambitious Strategic Plan and an engaged community, Westminster is exceptionally well positioned for the future.
The Role

- Provide thoughtful stewardship of the School's people, governance, resources and long-term sustainability.
- Guide Westminster confidently through a rapidly changing educational landscape, embracing innovation and emerging technologies while remaining grounded in the School's enduring values.
