NOTICE OF POSITION
Position
The Superintendent of Schools, Dr. Pascal Mubenga, is interested in receiving applications from qualified candidates for the position of
MIDDLE SCHOOL CAREER & TECHNICAL EDUCATION
CURRICULUM COMMITTEE MEMBER

Qualifications
Candidates must hold a New York State certification in the subject area applied for, be currently employed with Buffalo Public Schools as a tenured teacher, have knowledge of the New York State Middle School CTE Learning Standards, and know the application of scientifically based research.
Duties
- Curriculum committees will work directly with subject area and/or curriculum administrators.
- Committees must complete a variety of assignments within a mandated time frame. Assignments include but are not limited to evaluating instructional materials and developing pertinent curriculum documents aligned to the learning standards.
- Committee members will and should have participated in professional development to increase knowledge and skills required to fulfill responsibilities of related committee work.
Appointment
Appointment will be made by the Board of Education upon the recommendation of the Superintendent following assessment of training, experience, certifications, credentials and evaluation of service. Personal interviews shall be scheduled where appropriate.
SALARY: Committee members will be paid at the contractual rate
