The Role
Rosebank College is seeking two exceptional educators to join the College as Founding Stage 3 Teachers and help shape an important new chapter in our history. With Stage 3 (Year 5) launching in 2027, this is a defining opportunity to establish strong foundations, culture, and standards from the beginning.
Reporting to the Director of Stage 3, successful applicants will work collaboratively as part of the inaugural Stage 3 team, contributing to the development of a connected, high-performing learning community that supports academic excellence, student wellbeing, faith formation, and successful transition into the Secondary years.
Commencing in Term 4, 2026, successful applicants will benefit from a supported transition period, allowing time to build relationships, engage deeply with the College’s culture, and strategically design the learning experiences, structures, and practices that will underpin Stage 3 from its inception.

The Opportunity
Commencing in Term 4, 2026, you will have the advantage of a supported transition period to:
- Establish strong professional relationships
- Engage deeply with the College’s culture and expectations
- Plan strategically for excellence in 2027
- Collaborate closely with the Director of Stage 3 and fellow Stage 3 teachers
- Contribute to the design of curriculum, assessment, learning environments, and transition programs
- Help establish the culture, routines, and expectations that will shape the future of Stage 3
During Term 4, 2026, the Stage 3 teaching team will receive full release from classroom teaching responsibilities to engage in planning, collaboration, professional learning, and preparation for the commencement of the 2027 school year.
This early commencement reflects intentional leadership planning, a comprehensive induction program, and our commitment to attracting outstanding educators.

Key Responsibilities:
- Plan, prepare, and deliver high-quality teaching and learning programs for stage 3
- Provide engaging, differentiated, and rigorous learning experiences
- Integrate literacy and numeracy strategically across curriculum areas
- Use data to inform teaching and monitor student growth
- Foster student agency, independence, and self-regulation
- Create a positive, respectful, and inclusive classroom environment
- Support student wellbeing, faith formation, and pastoral development in alignment with the College’s Good Samaritan Benedictine tradition
- Collaborate with colleagues across Years 5–12 to strengthen curriculum continuity, student wellbeing, and successful transition pathways
- Communicate effectively with parents and carers
- Work collaboratively with the Director of Stage 3 and fellow teachers during the establishment phase of the program
- Contribute to the development of a collaborative, reflective, and high-performing professional learning culture
- Participate in pastoral care and co-curricular activities
- Uphold the College’s Code of Conduct, Child Protection, and WHS requirements
Essential Requirements:
- NESA-approved teaching qualifications for primary education
- Current NESA Accreditation and approval to teach in NSW
- A minimum of five years’ demonstrated success teaching Stage 3
- Strong knowledge of the NSW Primary Curriculum
- Effective classroom management skills
- Commitment to evidence-based pedagogical practice
- Ability to work collaboratively within a team
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Demonstrated capacity to work collaboratively within cross-stage professional teams
- Experience supporting student transition programs or working across educational settings (desirable)
- Valid Working with Children Check
- Commitment to child safeguarding principles
- Willingness to support the Catholic ethos and values of the College
