DRAMA TEACHER
Position Details
Trinity College is seeking a passionate Full-time Drama Teacher who will assist with leadership and the development of Drama at the College, reporting to the Director of Performing Arts | Head of Music. The successful applicant will be an enthusiastic educator who is committed to being part of a strong professional team and is able to teach Drama across Years 7–12, including ATAR classes. Outstanding subject knowledge, strong organisational and leadership skills, and a willingness to contribute actively to the co-curricular life of the College is expected. This role carries additional responsibilities associated with the leadership of the College’s drama program. A small monetary and time allowance will be provided in recognition of these additional responsibilities, which include leading and coordinating the College’s annual production, supporting the Director of Performing Arts | Head of Music in the development and delivery of the Performing Arts program, and contributing to the broader leadership and organisation of Drama and Performing Arts activities across the College. As the Drama Teacher at Trinity College, you will inspire students to develop their creativity, confidence, collaboration and performance skills through engaging and contemporary learning experiences. You will deliver high-quality teaching and learning that supports improved student outcomes while fostering a passion for the performing arts. In addition to teaching, you will assist with leadership in the development and delivery of the College’s Drama program and contribute significantly to the co-curricular Performing Arts life of the College. This includes the College’s annual production, overseeing its creative and organisational development, and working collaboratively with staff and students to deliver a high-quality production experience. You will also assist the Director of Performing Arts and Head of Music with the planning, coordination, and implementation of Performing Arts activities and initiatives across the College. You will foster an inclusive, safe, and supportive learning environment, and build positive relationships with students, families, and colleagues.
Essential Criteria
- A strong commitment to the ethos of Catholic Education and a willingness to promote and support Catholic values as a member of the Trinity College Community.
- Have a minimum 4 years’ Tertiary qualification, including appropriate educational qualifications
- Valid registration with the Teacher Registration Board of Western Australia (TRBWA)
- A current Working with Children Check (WWCC)
