Position Details
Our Lady's Assumption School is a double stream, co-educational Catholic primary school catering for children from Pre-Kindergarten to Year 6. Selection Criteria
The successful applicant will demonstrate:
- A strong understanding of the Western Australian Curriculum and the Australian Curriculum.
- The ability to implement evidence-based, contemporary teaching practices that effectively respond to the diverse learning needs of students.
- Expertise in analysing and using student achievement data to inform planning, differentiate instruction, and improve learning outcomes.
- Highly developed interpersonal skills, with the capacity to build positive and collaborative relationships with students, parents, and colleagues.
- A commitment to fostering a safe, inclusive, and engaging learning environment where every child can flourish.
- A willingness to facilitate extra-curricular activities
- A child-focused and Christ-centred approach to education, actively supporting the Catholic ethos and values of the school.

Qualifications Required
- Accreditation to Teach RE in a Catholic School.
- Bachelor of Education (Primary) or equivalent 4 year qualification.
Applicants must be fully supportive of the objectives and ethos of Catholic education. Applicants must have a current registration as a teacher with the Teacher Registration Board of WA (TRBWA) to be eligible for appointment. Information is available from the TRBWA website.
On appointment successful applicants will require a Working with Children Check. Application forms are available at certain Australia Post Outlets throughout the State. A list of participating Australia Post outlets can be found on the Australia Post web site at website. An application for a WWC must be made in person.
