About The Role
As the Head of Learning, you will be leading the implementation of a new three-year learning strategy, creating collaborative learning solutions and utilising a sophisticated digital learning platform.
Key responsibilities include:
- Lead the Learning and Professional Development team to design, implement, and evaluate learning and development initiatives.
- Execute a comprehensive learning and development strategy.
- Lead the design, development, and delivery of various learning programs, including in-person, digital, and blended learning formats.
- Identify, cultivate, and manage strategic partnerships with learning partners.
- Responsibility for the L&D budget, revenue generation, development of new initiatives.
- Lead and develop a team of L&PD professionals, ensuring they have the skills, support and resources needed to achieve their goals.
- Track the effectiveness of learning programs and initiatives and inform future program developments.
- Underpinned by research and continuous improvement, ensure that the Services & Sector capacity portfolio consistently delivers quality learning and professional development products that are commercially sound and market ready.
- Identify funding opportunities which support the development of learning and professional development products and services.
- Occasional interstate travel.
Skills and Experiences:
About you:
- Tertiary qualification and relevant experience in business, learning and product development or other relevant qualification(s).
- Strong experience in successfully leading a high-performing, commercially driven learning team.
- Successful track record in negotiating and implementing strategic learning initiatives and partnerships.
- Recent experience in the implementation of new learning platforms (ideally a LMS or LXP).
- Working knowledge of agile methodologies or familiarity with working in an agile environment.
- A high-level of digital proficiency, including extensive current experience in the development, implementation and evaluation mechanisms across multiple learning platforms, formats and channels.
- Knowledge and understanding of Artificial Intelligence, trends and application in design and delivery of learning.
- Knowledge, experience, and understanding of the VET Sector/Higher Education Sector (Aged care sector related).
- Excellent financial literacy, budgeting, research and reporting skills.
- Strong marketing, interpersonal and critical thinking skills.
- Knowledge, experience and an understanding of the Aged Care sector’s key reforms and challenges.
- A desire for continuous improvement and willingness to get involved and to contribute towards a great working environment and a commitment to delighting Ageing Australia members.
