Maroon Outdoor Education Centre is a unique outdoor and environmental education facility operated by the Queensland Department of Education, located on the shores of Lake Maroon in the Scenic Rim region. Since 1975 it has offered adventurous and experiential learning programs such as bushwalking, camping, team-building and aquatics to help students develop resilience, leadership, connection and critical thinking.
About The Role - Outdoor Education Teacher
- Join a close-knit, collaborative team in a caring and inclusive environment.
- Plan and deliver high-quality, engaging learning experiences with a focus on safety and student engagement.
- Lead and support students in a variety of outdoor pursuits, including bushwalking, lightweight camping, orienteering, canoeing, rock climbing, and high challenge activities.
- Work towards attaining Certificate IV in Outdoor Leadership VET competencies.
- Role involves night work with an agreed time off in lieu arrangement.
- Opportunity for on-site shared teacher accommodation.
