About Us
Maroochydore State School is located on the Sunshine Coast (in the North Coast Region). The school has 222 students, providing an education for students from Prep to Year 6. The small school setting has staff knowing the students both in the classroom and in the playground, as there is a focus on the growth and development of all students in a nurturing learning environment across each school day. Maroochydore State School engages students in a learning community that encourages excellence, supports diversity, and fosters innovation. The school is proud to be part of the #qldtechschools pilot, Minecraft Education Edition pilot and Makerspace project.
All the staff have a strong focus on student engagement, supporting individual achievement by providing a place of challenging activities and whole learning through inspiring teaching and learning opportunities. The teaching areas are air-conditioned, and each student has access to a very engaging iPad programme in each year level.
The school's facilities include a fantastic library with ever changing displays, a double tennis court and basketball area, large ovals, multiple playgrounds, a large multi-purpose hall as well as dedicated rooms for our Chappy, our instrumental music and class music programme. The classrooms are well-resourced, and there are age-specific playgrounds (shaded, grassed areas for play and sports).

- Lead strategically and responsibly by understanding relevant legislation and policies while managing resources effectively to achieve school goals.
