Position Details
Our Lady of Mercy Primary School provides a holistic Catholic Education to students

Selection Criteria
Be fully supportive of the objectives and ethos of Catholic Education.
Possess a sound knowledge of the Religious Education Units of Work.
Knowledge of the WA Curriculum and SCSA Judging Standards with the ability to organise, select and
design content for effective teaching and differentiated learning.
A repertoire of effective teaching strategies that positively impact student engagement and learning
outcomes.
Demonstrate the ability to use assessment and continuous monitoring methods and tools to adjust the
teaching practices to cater for the needs of all students.
Display excellent classroom management, organisational, interpersonal and communication skills.
Demonstrate the capability to work collaboratively with other staff to promote student learning and to
enhance one’s own teaching instruction and the learning culture of the school.
Demonstrate the skills to contribute to and promote a staff culture that works collaboratively with
students, staff, parents and Parish in promoting a nurturing Catholic school community.
Qualifications Required
Accreditation to Teach Religious Education
Relevant Four Year Tertiary Qualifications
