Looking for your next challenge?
We're looking for someone who gets genuinely excited about great educational resources.
The kind of person who can't help but notice when a resource could be clearer, more engaging or more effective.
The kind of person who immediately starts thinking:
"This could work even better if..."
At Top Teacher, we create resources, games and tools used by thousands of teachers across Australia every single day. As we continue to grow, we're looking for a Head of Resource Development & Editing to help lead the quality, direction and future development of our resource library.
This isn't a role where you'll spend your days creating resources from scratch.
Instead, you'll work closely with our Resource Creators to help them produce their best work. You'll review resources, provide feedback, identify opportunities and help ensure everything we release meets the high standards Top Teacher is known for.
You'll Love This Role If...
- You can immediately spot the difference between an average resource and a great one.
- You find yourself mentally reviewing resources, lessons and educational ideas everywhere you go.
- You care deeply about what teachers and students actually need.
- You enjoy helping others improve through thoughtful feedback and coaching.
- You naturally look for ways to improve systems, processes and resource quality.
- You enjoy identifying opportunities, spotting gaps and thinking about what teachers need next.
- You're a fast thinker who enjoys solving problems, making decisions and keeping momentum moving.
- You're curious, forward-thinking and always looking for better ways of doing things.
- You're excited by the opportunities AI and emerging technologies bring to education and content development.
What You'll Be Doing
- Leading and supporting our team of Resource Creators.
- Reviewing resources and providing detailed, constructive feedback.
- Maintaining Top Teacher's quality standards across all resource releases.
- Managing resource planning and priorities.
- Identifying curriculum opportunities, content gaps and emerging teacher needs.
- Monitoring educational trends, curriculum developments and classroom needs.
- Reviewing member feedback and helping guide future resource priorities.
- Supporting creators throughout the development process and helping them produce their best work.
- Helping shape the future direction of one of Australia's largest educational resource libraries.
What We're Looking For
- Experience teaching and/or working within the Australian educational resource sector.
- Experience developing, reviewing or leading curriculum-aligned educational content.
- Experience mentoring, coaching or leading others.
- Exceptional attention to detail.
- Strong curriculum knowledge and understanding of effective resource design.
- A proactive mindset and genuine desire to improve things.
- Confidence using AI and digital tools to improve workflows and efficiency.
- Someone who takes ownership, follows through and gets things done.
- Someone who thrives in a small, ambitious team where initiative is valued and everyone contributes.
- Strong organisational skills and the ability to manage priorities, meet deadlines and deliver high-quality work consistently.
Why Top Teacher?
At Top Teacher, you won't just be reviewing resources - you'll help shape them.
You'll play a key role in guiding our resource direction, identifying opportunities, mentoring creators and ensuring the quality of everything we release.
This is a role where your expertise will be valued, your ideas will be heard and your influence will be felt across thousands of resources used by teachers every day.
If you love educational content, enjoy helping others grow and get excited about making good resources even better, we'd love to hear from you.
Application Questions
Rather than submitting a traditional cover letter, we'd love you to answer the following questions:
- Tell us about yourself and your career journey. We'd love to understand what you've done, what you've enjoyed most and what has led you to apply for this role.
- Tell us about a project, resource, initiative or piece of work you're particularly proud of. What was your involvement and why does it stand out to you?
- What excites you most about the opportunity to join Top Teacher, and what strengths, experiences or ideas do you think you would bring to the role?
Applications close on Sunday 28th June, 2026.
