Job Description
About the position:
St Peter’s College is seeking applications to appoint a Head of House in our Senior School. A Head of House, in partnership with the Deputy Head of Senior School - Students, Deputy Headmaster - Head of Senior School, and the other Heads of House, is responsible for the care and support of students and for fostering their social, academic, spiritual and emotional well-being. The Head of House seeks to achieve the aims of the House system by coordinating appropriate programs, approaches and support structures. The core purpose of the position is to know each student in their House and to best look after their wellbeing.
This position also includes a 0.7 FTE teaching load that will be determined by the Deputy Headmaster – Teaching and Learning.
This is a 5-year tenured leadership position, with a permanent teaching substantive, to commence at the beginning of the 2027 School year.

Desired Skills And Experience
As the successful applicant you will:
- Have a willingness to support the School’s values and Anglican ethos.
- Hold relevant teaching qualifications.
- Demonstrated high level of competency in teaching practice.
- Leadership experience in an educational setting.
- Have a South Australian Teachers Registration and Working with Children Check.
- Provide evidence of completed training in Responding to Risks of Harm, Abuse and Neglect - Education and Care (RRHAN-EC) – Fundamentals & Masterclass and First Aid.
