Role Description The TAE Trainer and Assessor will plan, deliver, and assess nationally recognized training programs, with a focus on Training and Assessment (TAE) qualifications and related pathways. Day-to-day responsibilities include preparing learning materials and assessment tools, facilitating engaging classroom and workshop sessions, conducting competency-based assessments, and providing constructive feedback to learners. The role involves maintaining compliance with RTO standards, accurately documenting training and assessment activities, and contributing to continuous improvement of course content and delivery. The Trainer and Assessor will collaborate with colleagues and industry partners to ensure training remains relevant and aligned with current vocational and regulatory requirements. This is a full-time, on-site role based in Brisbane, QLD.
Qualifications
- TAE40122 Certificate IV in Training and Assessment (or equivalent current TAE qualification) and vocational competency in the areas being delivered.
- Demonstrated experience in designing, delivering, and assessing competency-based training within an RTO or VET environment.
- Strong skills in learner engagement, facilitation, and coaching, with the ability to support diverse learner needs and backgrounds.
- Sound knowledge of RTO compliance requirements, including AQTF/Standards for RTOs, assessment validation, and record-keeping practices.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to develop clear learning resources and provide quality learner feedback.
- Proficiency with digital learning tools and learning management systems, and confidence in integrating technology into training delivery.
- Strong organizational and time management skills, with the ability to manage multiple classes, cohorts, and deadlines effectively.
- Relevant industry experience in vocational education, adult education, or workforce development; experience with holistic or empowerment-focused programs is highly regarded.
