In this leadership role, you will guide the curriculum focus in alignment with school and departmental initiatives, contribute to delivering the vision of the Early Childhood and State Schools Division, and enhance the quality of teaching and learning across the Humanities faculty.

As the Head of Department, you will lead the curriculum focus in alignment with school and departmental initiatives, participate in delivering the vision of the Early Childhood and State Schools Division, develop the quality of teaching and learning, and nurture positive relationships between students, teachers, and stakeholders.
Responsibilities Include
- Lead the school department to develop, articulate and commit to a shared educational vision focused on providing quality learning outcomes for all students.
- Embed socially just practices in daily school life.
- Set high standards for student and staff performance.
- Actively participate in lifelong learning and ongoing professional development.
- Form partnerships with students, parents, other government agencies, and community groups.
- Implement research based pedagogical practices (informed by the Whole School Approach to Pedagogy) to increase student engagement
- Lead the collaborative development of a coherent, sequenced, P-10 Australian Curriculum and Assessment Plan
- Lead the collaborative development of Teaching and Learning Plans (TLAPs) for all Year 11 and Year 12 Subjects
