Education
We are seeking Lecturers at TAFE Queensland for the Bachelor of Nursing (BoN) program. We have Full-Time and Part-Time opportunities for experienced, forward thinking and student focused Lecturers to join our dynamic and innovative team to deliver the Bachelor of Nursing. Successful candidates should have higher education lecturing/tutoring experience, specifically in Nursing and be able to:
- Research, develop, and deliver lectures, tutorials, and clinical sessions aligned with the Bachelor of Nursing curriculum.
- Serve as the primary unit convenor for the undergraduate course, ensuring the delivery of high-quality educational products and resources.
- Create and implement engaging course materials and assessments tailored for the Bachelor of Nursing program.
- Deliver content through a multi-modal hybrid model, incorporating both virtual and face-to-face teaching methods.
- Communicate effectively with students to facilitate their learning and success in higher education.
How You Will Be Assessed
Ideal applicants will have the following key capabilities:
- Proven higher education lecturing experience specifically in Nursing or a related discipline is required, including the ability to contribute to the development of innovative learning and teaching within an applied learning environment and encouraging students to apply that learning in industry settings.
- Demonstrated record of achievement as a practitioner in Nursing with a reputation for skills, knowledge and expertise.
- Strong organisational and communication skills, influencing and listening skills.
- Strong interpersonal skills, including the ability to build and sustain productive internal and external stakeholder relationships with people from a diverse range of backgrounds.
- Commitment to student success and a passion for nursing education with a demonstrated commitment to providing outstanding client service.
- The ability to provide high quality course delivery within an applied learning environment, in accordance with Tertiary Education Quality and Standards Agency (TEQSA) standards.
- Current unrestricted AHPRA registration.
Mandatory Qualifications/Requirements
- Possession of a master’s or doctoral qualification in Nursing or a relevant discipline; and/or
- Recognised equivalent relevant higher education academic experience and expertise; and
- Knowledge of contemporary developments in Nursing, which is informed by continuing scholarship or research or advances in practice; and
- Skills in contemporary higher education teaching, learning and assessment principles relevant to Nursing, the role, and modes of delivery and the needs of student cohorts.
